2022 ADVANCED WEEKEND OF RECOVERY REGISTRATION CLOSES TODAY
Registration closes at the end of today (7/27) for the Advanced WOR @ Alta, UT. This year’s Advanced WOR (August 12th – 14th ) will focus on the theme “Exploring Our Connections With Self and Others” and is open for partners to attend as well as for Alumni to attend alone.

ALUMNI SUPPORT GROUPS UPDATE
After the successful completion of an initial series of Zoom-based Support Groups in April 2022, a second series of online accessible Alumni Support Groups have been filled and will begin in early August.

Congruent with our commitment to grassroots participation and volunteer services, Support Groups are designed to engage Alumni in the operation of this project: Adam Frost has assumed the duties of oversight and management; Drew Wiggins conducted intake interviews for the second series of groups; Mark J., Kirk P., Anthony S., and Andrew V. will be Peer Leaders for these new groups. In addition, Diana Thomas (WOR Facilitator) will provide Supervision to the Peer Leaders. Amy Ellis (Nova University) and Jim Struve (Executive Director) provide organizational consultation for this project.
These Alumni Support Groups are an example of MenHealing’s investment in helping individual survivors to:
⮚ overcome isolation,
⮚ grow connections through engagement with a larger community of survivors, and
⮚ contribute their energy to movement-building that inspires more hope and healing.
HONORING THE VOICES OF SURVIVORS

Let us know if you have a testimonial to share – we welcome your submissions. We want to honor the diversity of voices of survivors – and allies.

NEW MENHEALING “SKILLS FOR HEALING” VIDEO IS RELEASED
We continue to expand our “Skills for Healing” video library with the release of HAND BREATHING. This video supplements AWARENESS, the initial video in this new six-part somatic series. Each video is led by Rich Sims, WOR Facilitator. These videos are accessible via our website as well as our YouTube Channel. In addition, each somatic video will reach 45,000 incarcerated individuals in Ohio prisons via the MenHealing HOME project, a collaboration with the Ohio Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation.

This video is also available with Spanish subtitles.

MENHEALING IS COMMITTED TO FINANCIAL ACCESSIBILITY FOR WEEKENDS OF RECOVERY. WE BELIEVE THAT HEALING SHOULD NOT BE IMPEDED BY ECONOMIC LIMITATIONS. THEREFORE, WE ARE OFFERING A “PAY WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD” PRICING STRUCTURE FOR WEEKEND OF RECOVERY EVENTS.

MenHealing is committed to accessibility for all of our resources. As a grassroots organization, 85% of our financial support is received from individual donors and 15% from event registrations. We do not receive any funding from government or foundation grants. Our work is possible because of the generous donations from individuals like YOU.
Here are some ways YOUR donation contributes directly to help a survivor heal:
⮚ A $35 Donation will pay for six reusable water bottles given to survivors at a WOR
⮚ A $50 Donation will pay for ten personal journals given to survivors at a WOR
⮚ A $200 Donation pays for 1 month ZOOM subscription used by MenHealing
⮚ A $295 Donation will pay 25% of the cost for one survivor to attend a WOR
⮚ A $590 Donation will pay 50% of the cost for one survivor to attend a WOR
⮚ A $880 Donation will pay 75% of the cost for one survivor to attend a WOR
⮚ A $1,175 Donation will pay 100% of the cost for one survivor to attend a WOR
We especially want to thank the growing community of regular sustaining donors.
Consider whether YOU can join as a recurring donor at any amount.
